HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are required to complete an application form and attend a Volunteer Orientation workshop. Depending on the volunteer position, there may be additional training required.

All Tamara's House Volunteers must be willing to have a Criminal Record Check done.

All volunteers must be willing to sign a Confidentiality Form.

Examples of Volunteer Positions
  • Support for staff in the Healing Centre*
  • Board of Directors*
  • Education and Training
  • Communications
  • Fundraising
  • Indoor and Outdoor Maintenance
  • Office and Clerical Support*
  • Community Development, which includes: Operate information tables at conferences, etc. Public education ie. presentations about Tamara's House Attending community meetings on our behalf

You don't have to be on the Board of Directors to be on a committee.

*These positions are available only to women
